Prayer Box
Speak, she hears you.
OOC note: As of April 2020, threads with the gods will be capped at three NPC replies! Please keep this in mind when writing god prayers to make sure you get everything you need out of the thread. It’s also possible to handwave prayers by titling your comment HANDWAVED PRAYER. Handwaved prayers lack our usual flourish, but you can expect a faster response!
As of February 2024, god prayers will be handwaved only. Please only submit a prayer if you have a question for either god which needs answering in order to progress your character's arc within Ryslig. If this is something you need to tier up within the god boon system, or just to set up a player plot in general, please don't hesitate to submit a prayer about it! You may shorten it down to an OOC summary of what your character is asking. This will allow any of our helper mods to reply much faster, without having to dig into the specifics of either god's personality/writing quirks. Should this limitation be lifted again in the future, this note will be removed.

He finally finds a place that seems... fine. He's not even sure what he's looking for. He lets himself settle down on the ground, tapping one ethereal foot while he thinks about how to put this.]
So I came back.
[Well, no shit, really? Ugh.]
I know I haven’t… been here long. When you brought me here, I’d wanted nothing more than to lose everything of who I was and be born again as something greater. I was understandably angry finding that I had been pulled away from my world, my magic taken, but my memories still intact.
All I wanted was to become what she needed me to, even if she left me vague instructions on what she wanted. When the changes started, I suppose I was reborn. I died, as I had wanted to, and then I came back as something else. And I do… appreciate… what I was made into.
[The words ‘thank you’ are just not in his vocabulary, so this is as close as he’ll get to thanking her for giving him exactly what he wanted, even if she left his memories intact. He knows there is a way to lose them here, and how to. So really, she’s still left him with the option to lose them all.
He’s quiet for a minute and then pulls a dark green veil out from inside one of his gauntlets. Very little of him is still solid, so he’s learning to be creative with carrying things around.]
I don’t know how I’m supposed to do this, if I just set it somewhere or what, but… this was a gift from the first person to call me a friend. That’s something that should be important to me, right?
[The fact that he kept it at all is amazing, really. But then he's also never had anybody insist that they are friends and drag him out for a night of 'fun'.]
I thought it might make a decent sacrifice, if you're into that.

All I have done, child, is make you what you are inside, what you have always been but unable to embrace. Just as you had been unable to embrace your own strength.
[A cold fog envelopes him, but it brings with it the memories of times when he was happy, no matter how distant those memories are. An icy hand caresses his, and when the fog fades, the veil is gone and a key in its place, his new ability in his mind.]
