This is a place to send your prayers to the Fog god. She may not always respond, or she may respond in ways you don’t expect, but she is always listening.

Speak, she hears you.

OOC note: As of April 2020, threads with the gods will be capped at three NPC replies! Please keep this in mind when writing god prayers to make sure you get everything you need out of the thread. It’s also possible to handwave prayers by titling your comment HANDWAVED PRAYER. Handwaved prayers lack our usual flourish, but you can expect a faster response!

As of February 2024, god prayers will be handwaved only. Please only submit a prayer if you have a question for either god which needs answering in order to progress your character's arc within Ryslig. If this is something you need to tier up within the god boon system, or just to set up a player plot in general, please don't hesitate to submit a prayer about it! You may shorten it down to an OOC summary of what your character is asking. This will allow any of our helper mods to reply much faster, without having to dig into the specifics of either god's personality/writing quirks. Should this limitation be lifted again in the future, this note will be removed.

Hi Fog-sama! I made you something today! Well I've been making it for a little while, but I finally finished it today.

[Jataro holds a staff up towards the sky, so she can see it. Because where else would she be? Some of the decorations are strikingly similar to parts from a certain Fourth priest. After a moment he brings it back down.]

The Fourth God stole your power, right? I want to try and help, and magical staffs are always super helpful when all sorts of things need to use power and magic and stuff. I'm really sorry he took your magic. I hope this helps.

[Carefully the child turns it in his hand - it's a little difficult, since it's made for an adult and not someone as small as him - looks it over.]

I made it with a branch from the woods! The ones that are filled with fog now. La...Lei...um. Those ones...I hope you know which ones I'm talking about. Shingetsu-kun said it was okay. And I got this really amazing crystal to put in it, since all staffs have those. But I think the best part is the snake skin and snake rattle! I killed one of his priests for them! Mitsuhide-san and I did it together! The rattle even makes sound when you shake it still, listen!

I really hope it helps! And I hope if I leave it here out of the way, you'll be able to get it...I don't want anyone to steal it or anything. I'm going to make you more things too. I'll paint pictures for you and when I finally get the stuff, I'm gonna make you really great dioramas! Because I'm really grateful. I wanna thank you a lot for taking me and Shingetsu-kun and bringing us here. A lot a lot! And...nobody's ever really believed in me or wanted me for anything so...I'm really glad. And this is where I'm going to mention that he prays to her every night and has been doing so since joining. "Prays" more like just talking to her and telling her about what he's done and how much he loves being a monster, whether or not she answers. And he's going to continue doing so but I'm only mentioning it here because nobody needs me constantly hitting this up.]

[Shortly after leaving his gift in Dyster, a brisk wind picks up. It blows through Jataro’s hair, the equivalent of an affectionate ruffle, but also briefly obscuring his eyes. Once the wind ceases, wherever Jataro left the staff, it is gone.

Sometimes, when he prays, he’ll hear a faint rattling noise. The fog god seems to be very fond of her priest-skin prize.]
