This is a place to send your prayers to the Fog god. She may not always respond, or she may respond in ways you don’t expect, but she is always listening.

Speak, she hears you.

OOC note: As of April 2020, threads with the gods will be capped at three NPC replies! Please keep this in mind when writing god prayers to make sure you get everything you need out of the thread. It’s also possible to handwave prayers by titling your comment HANDWAVED PRAYER. Handwaved prayers lack our usual flourish, but you can expect a faster response!

As of February 2024, god prayers will be handwaved only. Please only submit a prayer if you have a question for either god which needs answering in order to progress your character's arc within Ryslig. If this is something you need to tier up within the god boon system, or just to set up a player plot in general, please don't hesitate to submit a prayer about it! You may shorten it down to an OOC summary of what your character is asking. This will allow any of our helper mods to reply much faster, without having to dig into the specifics of either god's personality/writing quirks. Should this limitation be lifted again in the future, this note will be removed.

I am glad my children are taking care of each other. It shows me you were each chosen well.

You can do as you wish with the remains you're hiding. It matters little if they're found.

Ingway is right, I can grant you that power should you join me. Protecting each other is an admirable goal. Even the followers of that false god need protection, though some test my patience more than others. I fear many of them are lost despite what I saw in them when I first brought them here.

Does desiring that mean you are no longer 'you'? I don't think so. Although you may doubt, I think your wish to protect shows the important parts of you are still present.

I enjoy your letters, child. Should you feel troubled further you are welcome to send another. There are many things for you to adjust to in this place. I know it takes time. I have enclosed a gift that I hope will help when you next start to hunger. I know within time you will find the strength you need to accept you are only doing what you must.

[The letter itself is written on the same type of parchment as it was previously in the same handwriting. The envelope is sealed with wax again, but this time it seems as although it was simply left for her rather than attempting to deliver it through the postal system.

[And the gift? Does Chie see what she's been given?]

[Along with the letter is a carefully sealed package. If Chie opens it she will find what appears to be a human heart. It's still warm.]

[Chie waits a couple days, until she's good and hungry. Then she opens the box and--

How can it be still warm? Is this Fog God magic? Does it matter?

She gobbles it down and waits for Susan to get back from her new ranch.]

Hi! I meant to send this a week ago, right before my day off, but then my roommate Susan got her old ranch house from home from Mana and we had to do moving stuff and also cleaning stuff and fixing up things because suddenly we both had our own rooms and also I had to get used to a place that old fashioned.

You'd probably like it. You like all that old-fashioned stuff. That's why you're still writing, right? Ingway thought you'd have come to talk to me with fog or something, but then you couldn't have sent me the box. Thanks for the box, by the way. I don't know how you kept it warm that long, but it was delicious.

I haven't really eaten anybody since then, but I did talk to some people to help figure out what is the best way to figure out who. I've kind of decided that I'll try to find who the bad guys are in Bavan and elsewhere--like the really awful ~~humans~~ ~~people~~ humans, the humans who'd do stuff like run that place that people were butchered--and then eat them. Because they'd be the people who'd deserve it most?

Oh yeah, I made friends with another one of your followers. His name is Rohan Kishibe. He's a mangaka and he's kind of harsh but sometimes he's nice. I'm probably going to visit his store soon, since I seem to have stopped growing. I think I'm something like ten foot tall at night now. I'm huge.

I left the bundle of hair and bone and rags and spidersilk under the bed when we left our boarding house. I guess the cleaner's found it by now. It's kind of awful, but I get a weird thrill up my spine when I imagine them freaking out to see it.

Anyway. This letter kind of got away with me because I actually had a specific reason to write you and that's because Ingway's taking me to Dyster tomorrow, on my day off. I was kind of hoping I'd get a chance to see you there? I was going to go earlier, but there was Valentines stuff (things were really weird) and then we had to move house like I said.

I guess what I'm trying to say now is... I want to help you if I can. Since we're friends, you know? At least, I feel kind of like we're friends now.
