Prayer Box
Speak, she hears you.
OOC note: As of April 2020, threads with the gods will be capped at three NPC replies! Please keep this in mind when writing god prayers to make sure you get everything you need out of the thread. It’s also possible to handwave prayers by titling your comment HANDWAVED PRAYER. Handwaved prayers lack our usual flourish, but you can expect a faster response!
As of February 2024, god prayers will be handwaved only. Please only submit a prayer if you have a question for either god which needs answering in order to progress your character's arc within Ryslig. If this is something you need to tier up within the god boon system, or just to set up a player plot in general, please don't hesitate to submit a prayer about it! You may shorten it down to an OOC summary of what your character is asking. This will allow any of our helper mods to reply much faster, without having to dig into the specifics of either god's personality/writing quirks. Should this limitation be lifted again in the future, this note will be removed.

Now that he's gotten his own key and hasn't been borrowing Noa's, he wa also spending more time in Dyster. It's not like he likes the place, but it's a quiet place where he can get away from it all. It's nice to have a room to himself. Camping was great and all, but for some reason the tiny room in Dyster made him think of Academia and helped him focus.
And he really needed to focus now. He's been thinking more about this world, her and what Madoka had revealed to them all.
Day, Night, and Fog.
Day and Night went to war with each other.
Now only the Fog is left.
They killed each other for the sake of their followers. They destroyed a large part of the world, and in response the Fog God destroyed everything except the peninsula where the few that survived became her pets. It was a horrible tale, one filled with so much destruction, and such a disrespect for life, but it was one that Judai found familiar.
After all, once his friends had been sacrificed and he was told Johan was dead, wasn't that what he did? What he as Haou, the Supreme King, treated the people in the World of Darkness?
Talking to Madoka online had only unearthed memories that Judai had thought had long gone to rest, thoughts that were surprisingly dangerous skimmed the edges of his mind once more. Memories of anger, of hate and mindless destruction, of inflicting fear and demonstrating power. Judai knows he's put the past behind him, but his heart begins to ache as he thinks more and more about what he had read.
It's a dark, cold night when he finally speaks about it, and he's alone in his room in Dyster. The candle lit, his bag of things on the ground, Judai on his small bed, sitting upright. He stops idly playing with the teeth he took from the real world Dyster once he finishes making a loose circle of them on the nightstand and gives a long, tired sigh. She's always listening, right? Especially here...]
I'm just going to ask you something personal. [He looks up at the ceiling. He knows she will hear him, but it feels right to look up..] If you get angry at me, I understand. I went over this with Madoka ... and if you just don't want to respond, I'll also understand. But I want to know more about... everything.
[And, even if he doesn't realise it, Judai wants to empathize with her.]
I want to know about the Night and Day Gods... The other real gods in this world. Did they really just go to fight because of their followers? Or was there another reason?
[He does hesitate though. A long minute passed before he looks down and unclenches the fists he didn't even know he was holding] Were you close to them?
['Do you miss them?' goes unspoken.]

Know your place.
[A whisper of multiple voices hiss, surprised, offended. It's not unlike a parent scolding a curious child.]
Do not presume to know me, pet. What my dear witness has shared is more than enough. [The wind calms. . .gradually. It's far from a gentle breeze, but the pressure isn't quite so overwhelming. The whispers come again, this time a bit softer, but firm.]
. . .but I know you won't be deterred. Perhaps, should you prove yourself, we may speak again.
Some day.
[The wind brushes through his hair, as if offering a comforting, yet dismissive pat to a dog. And just as suddenly, the harsh wind returns, rushing over Judai and back through the door, slamming it shut.]

He doesn't know anything. And that's why he's asking. He wants to know. He wants to understand and find out where things stand here. Judai doesn't know her at all. She's practically still myth, even as she bursts through the door like the immaculate goddess she is and scolds him like the insolent boy he is.
Judai does flinch to all of this. To the wind, to her words, her harshness. But even as the words echo in his ears and his mind- blurring his vision, making focus difficult for him- it does become clear that this isn't the easiest of topics. It's something not to be shared with someone of his tier, someone who had yet to show their worth.
The Fog God is completely right. He's not deterred in the slightest. He'll find a way to reach her one way or another. If he does... when he does... he's not sure what will happen, but-
Judai watches the door slam with the wind, signalling the departure of the god.
Prove himself, huh?
... He should find Madoka. He needs to talk to her Priestess.]
