Prayer Box
Speak, she hears you.
OOC note: As of April 2020, threads with the gods will be capped at three NPC replies! Please keep this in mind when writing god prayers to make sure you get everything you need out of the thread. It’s also possible to handwave prayers by titling your comment HANDWAVED PRAYER. Handwaved prayers lack our usual flourish, but you can expect a faster response!
As of February 2024, god prayers will be handwaved only. Please only submit a prayer if you have a question for either god which needs answering in order to progress your character's arc within Ryslig. If this is something you need to tier up within the god boon system, or just to set up a player plot in general, please don't hesitate to submit a prayer about it! You may shorten it down to an OOC summary of what your character is asking. This will allow any of our helper mods to reply much faster, without having to dig into the specifics of either god's personality/writing quirks. Should this limitation be lifted again in the future, this note will be removed.

October, sometime during ghost hauntings
Months ago, someone said that your eye was on someone named Roxas. And that if he didn't die instead of getting his memory wiped like everyone else did, their life would've been in danger too.
Then one day out of nowhere he attacked me... killed me. I couldn't get anything out of him on why he did it, just that he "needed" to.
[Touya's talked through his story with someone, so the reason he reaches out now is-]
I want to know for sure.... did you have something to do with it?
---
[OOC Note: It's been a long time. This refers all the way back to when Roxas was trying to rally people into killing the Fog God. That wasn't appreciated by her of course, so the harpy became Enemy Number One. At the end of Mana vs Tikbalang, Roxas was given poison so that his death would briefly distract the Fog God long enough for Mana to erect the same barriers Tikbalang once had on the forest.
Later, Roxas was cursed by fog mom, the finale to such torture being an unstoppable compulsion to kill and eat someone he cared about. That someone ended up being Touya, at the time a neutral with no inclination for either side of the god war.]
We are very sorry for the delay on this response!
Yes.
[The voice comes in the form of firm whispers all around him, as well as a hush right next to his ear.]
The sparrow did not know his place. Time and time again, he cursed my name. He claimed it was my wrath which bound you here. [Her voice escalates as she speaks, a bitter cold behind each word.] So I showed him the true nature of the humans he praised. I let them have their way with him. And when he still worked to strike me down, I showed him the fury he thought to know.
Is that what you wished to hear, little one?
Then for fun relevance, seems fitting to be post-blob, fog mom sees all
[First he pauses, while shivering whenever the chill bites past his fur, picking his words carefully.]
... I didn't know what I wanted to hear. The only thing I wanted was to know why and that answers a lot. So... thanks.
[The werewolf pulls up a weak smile on his face for a moment, however he knows full well it's a lifeless one after his latest ordeal. His thoughts go back to Squirt especially, how much the innocent Pokemon's suffered in this place even without being by his side. Selfish. How can he call himself a trainer?]
And... you're probably right. About... some of the people in this place.
[Or quite likely most of the Ryslig natives. But from even within his dull-eyed state of unhappiness, Touya doesn't let himself word it in that fashion. Let alone all of them, despite personally experiencing said cruelty.]
You'd think people would notice after a while. Instead of blaming you, which must be all the time.
no subject
But soon there's that whisper into his ear again, as if sharing a piece of gossip.]
Of course I am. [There's a bit of a chill to the whispers when she says this. Bitter, wistful.]
I care little of the opinions from the mortals here. They are cruel, ignorant beings at worst, and naive fools at best. Pay them no heed, my pet. Live your life here as you will, and do not let them hold you back.
