Prayer Box
Speak, she hears you.
OOC note: As of April 2020, threads with the gods will be capped at three NPC replies! Please keep this in mind when writing god prayers to make sure you get everything you need out of the thread. It’s also possible to handwave prayers by titling your comment HANDWAVED PRAYER. Handwaved prayers lack our usual flourish, but you can expect a faster response!
As of February 2024, god prayers will be handwaved only. Please only submit a prayer if you have a question for either god which needs answering in order to progress your character's arc within Ryslig. If this is something you need to tier up within the god boon system, or just to set up a player plot in general, please don't hesitate to submit a prayer about it! You may shorten it down to an OOC summary of what your character is asking. This will allow any of our helper mods to reply much faster, without having to dig into the specifics of either god's personality/writing quirks. Should this limitation be lifted again in the future, this note will be removed.

Despite the great reverence she feels for the Fog, it isn't until Elias himself suggests it that she considers praying to Her for advice on this whole situation, which rankles with her quite a bit. ]
I don't trust him and I promise I won't help him. But is there any other way to stop what's happening, other than what he's proposing? What can I do?

What the false god is proposing is nothing more than a foolish attempt to garner good will. I have little faith in his 'plans', and it would serve you well to distrust what he has to say.
[She speaks tersely, straining to keep her words level and calm. Rage seems to boil just beneath the veneer.]
This is magic that has been laying dormant for centuries. The one that brought it to the surface must atone for their insolence, for thinking that they could possibly use this to their advantage.

[ She almost whispers it, fearing the Fog's rage will deepen at the mention of the name. Abigail feels like a fool for ever having sympathy for the Tågevalgten, feels her own anger rising at the way Tåge has not only endangered them all but, more importantly, the way in which she's continually disrespected the Fog. ]
I'll find her. I'll get all those faithful to you to scour the peninsula. She needs to pay for this.

[Her tone is unusually harsh, brimming with ire.]
Her followers are no different than the humans that walk this world. Slaughter them or protect them, for all I care! Eventually, they will all return to the earth in which they came.

[ Abigail jolts at Her tone, though apart from her initial surprise she isn't afraid. No, she looks positively thrilled at the power of the one that chose her and elevated her from the ranks of humanity. ]
If her followers are to be found, they'll pay.
