This is a place to send your prayers to the Fog god. She may not always respond, or she may respond in ways you don’t expect, but she is always listening.

Speak, she hears you.

OOC note: As of April 2020, threads with the gods will be capped at three NPC replies! Please keep this in mind when writing god prayers to make sure you get everything you need out of the thread. It’s also possible to handwave prayers by titling your comment HANDWAVED PRAYER. Handwaved prayers lack our usual flourish, but you can expect a faster response!

As of February 2024, god prayers will be handwaved only. Please only submit a prayer if you have a question for either god which needs answering in order to progress your character's arc within Ryslig. If this is something you need to tier up within the god boon system, or just to set up a player plot in general, please don't hesitate to submit a prayer about it! You may shorten it down to an OOC summary of what your character is asking. This will allow any of our helper mods to reply much faster, without having to dig into the specifics of either god's personality/writing quirks. Should this limitation be lifted again in the future, this note will be removed.

From what? [She spits out the word as if it were a curse, her words icy and clear.] Do you think her imprisoned? Do you feel that she is too feeble to think clearly?

[The fire continues to roar, stoked on by the cold wind howling. The woman's form finally solidifies completely.

She steps towards Kurumi.]

She wishes to protect you. Did you know? "More than anything." [Her words might sound mocking if they weren't so harsh - there is an unflinching force, a vindictive anger as she speaks.] So do not doubt my love of her, insect. It is all that protects you in my realm.

[Oh. Oh. That's--that's just like Yuuri, isn't it? In her anger, Kurumi hadn't even thought of the possibility of what would happen to her friend. She's not afraid for herself (she never really was) but it's enough to make her swallow.]

No... I didn't. [She backs up slightly then stops.] What kind of protection could--[Someone like you.]--provide, anyway?

[Her movement stops as Kurumi backs away, a certain satisfaction in the way she comes to a halt. Perhaps it is clear her words are not falling on entirely deaf ears. Or perhaps she simply enjoys seeing the fleeting moment of panic in the girl's face.]

What concern is it of yours? [There is a certain cool placidity to her anger - she does not scream or shout, but her words are as cold as ice.] Would you believe the words I said?

I just want to know that you're not fooling her.

[She stays where she is for the moment, trying to regain her composure some.] It's easy to say that you'll help. It's probably easier for you when someone has someone they care about.

Fooling her? [That draws a scowl from the god, a stern indignation rising in her tone.] What use could I have for deception? Do you think me a coward like the usurper?

[The wind whips away at the village once again, the fires dancing and leaping as they are fanned.]

I have no time to waste lying to you or her. She asked for your protection, and I have given it. You would stand in my realm and throw curses at my name, and yet not a soul has touched you in retribution.

[Her brow furls, her eyes narrowing.]

Do not tempt me to retract my gift, girl.

[That makes her back up even more. This. This really wasn't good, was it?]

I'm sorry. [She really is. What more could she say?]

[The woman watches Kurumi impassively, her gaze unyielding. But after a few moments, the winds begin to die down, and though her expression does not change a hint of warmth makes its way back into the town again.]

Very well. You shall remain in my favor. [Her body begins to unravel from the ground up, wisps of smoke and fog peeling off of her and leaving nothing but mist beneath.] If you wish to stay in this place, girl, watch your tongue. Even my grace has its limits.
